  • Crumbacher Offers Discounted IT Support During Pandemic

When the coronavirus pandemic hit in early 2020, people who normally worked in company offices suddenly found themselves telecommuting while their children attended classes online. Businesses faced unexpected challenges connecting both their employees and customers virtually. With their expertise in IT solutions and a desire to support the community, Crumbacher began offering a discount to anyone in need, a rate usually reserved for their contracted customers. Crumbacher Chief Executive Officer, John Crumbacher, explained that even in 2021, people are reaching out for help with “one-off” problems. He said “There is a continued need to support the ability to work remotely and implementation of technologies some companies had never used before. It just made sense to help minimize the pain these companies were feeling. We knew we could help them.” As of January 2021, Crumbacher is still providing services and discounts to area businesses facing IT challenges.

  • Band Together | Crumbacher Works With Other Businesses to Help Food Banks

Crumbacher was one of the community partners supporting Band Together in spring of 2020. When the coronavirus pandemic caused bands to lose their performance venues and for Santa Fe food banks to struggle to have adequate resources to help feed hungry families, Hutton Broadcasting and its family of radio stations worked with local musicians and businesses like Crumbacher to host a series of virtual concerts that raised over $250,000 in ad-supported donations, plus in-kind donations valued at over $80,000 for Kitchen Angels, The Food Depot, and Santa Fe Feeds First Responders.

Crumbacher Chief Executive Officer, John Crumbacher, said, “We decided to support Band Together with Hutton because we love the tight-knit community that we’re a part of here. In times of need it is more important than ever to literally band together and help each other out.”

  • Crumbacher Supports 2019 Santa Fe Waldorf School Holiday Faire

Crumbacher, a family-owned business that is a leader in IT services in northern New Mexico, supports education in a number of ways. “Education is one of the main roots of improving our economy and New Mexico in general, and we’ll do what we can to help,” said Chief Operating Officer John Crumbacher. As part of that goal, Crumbacher was a sponsor of the Santa Fe Waldorf School’s 2019 Holiday Faire. The pre-K through 12th grade school was established in 1983 and supports students from a variety of social, economic, ethnic, cultural and international backgrounds. The Santa Fe Waldorf School encourages a connection to the outdoors, exemplified by their location on a 13-acre campus on the edge of the mountains, where students can explore and learn.

The school’s outdoors focus resonates with John and many members of his family and team. He says, “We have a lot of ‘outdoorsy’ people on our staff. My siblings and I grew up backpacking, going to our cabin in Colorado, and sailing with our dad. A lot of people on the team are focused on the world outside of computers.”

  • Crumbacher Supports El Rancho de las Golondrinas 2019 Renaissance Faire

Crumbacher Chief Operating Officer John Crumbacher is one of thousands of people who grew up in Santa Fe with fond memories of visiting El Rancho de las Golondrinas, a historic rancho and living history museum dedicated to preserving the history, heritage, and culture of 18th and 19th century New Mexico. With his memories of attending events there as a child, like Civil War re-enactments, he has now shared the experience of visiting the 200-acre museum with his family, including his 3-year-old daughter. This time, they attended the museum’s Santa Fe Renaissance Faire, which helps fund educational program at the museum and the Santa Fe School for the Arts & Sciences.

John didn’t just attend the event. Crumbacher was a sponsor and John noted that El Rancho de las Golondrinas was one of the family businesses’ first clients. He said they sponsor at least one event a year at the living history museum and said, “We like to give back to the community as much as we can. El Rancho de las Golondrinas is a gem that Santa Fe needs to hold on to, treat well, and make sure it doesn’t disappear.”
